Project Control worked with the Texas Biomedical Research Institute (formerly Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research) for nearly 15 years, assisting with master planning of the campus and completing over 115,700 s.f. of new construction and renovated space, including BSL-2, BSL-3 and BSL-4 laboratories, administrative, and equipment spaces. The Texas Biomedical Research Institute operates on a 332-acre campus on the northwest side of San Antonio, Texas. Projects include:
Ledford Research Building
A 5,000 s.f. laboratory to accommodate research of the disease, schistosomiasis.
AT&T Genomics Computer Center
A 10,000 s.f. genomics computing center, housing the world’s largest cluster of computers for genetic analysis.
Virology Research Building
The 22,000 s.f. facility includes 10,000 sf of new office and conference rooms and 12,000 s.f. of laboratories.
