Nelson A. Rockefeller Center of Latin American Art ($6.5M)
After receiving an endowment, which included a large collection of art from the Rockefeller family, the San Antonio Museum of Art added a new wing to house the collection. The three-story, 30,000 s.f. expansion is home to a wide collection of Latin American art spanning 4,000 years.
The Lenora and Walter F. Brown Asian Art Wing ($2.5M)
Remodeling of the original 6,120 s.f. Asia gallery and addition of two floors (8,741 s.f.) above the existing gallery. The space houses an impressive, internationally renowned collection spanning 6,000 years of Asian art history.
