
The ACCD Northwest Vista College Campus development project included the construction of seven new buildings totaling 326,000 s.f., the addition of 1,100 new parking spaces, a three-acre pond to provide irrigation for the campus and house re-use water for cooling towers, a new entry on Wiseman Blvd, extension of interior roads, and both landscape and hardscape improvements.
Live Oak is an 85,400 s.f., three-story building housing the Science Department and classrooms, including labs with state of the art equipment and an observation deck for astronomy classes.
Juniper is a 76,100 s.f., three-story building housing classrooms, math labs, and two faculty sites. It is connected by bridges to the Huisache Student Center and the Red Bud Learning Center.
The 41,000 s.f. building houses the campus library and cyber cafe, as well as student areas and classrooms.
The center is a 56,800 s.f. two-story building that houses all student services, dining facilities, and administrative staff office space.
A 60,600 s.f. facility consisting of a 400 seat theater, black box theater, dance rehearsal hall, music rehearsal rooms, and music classrooms. The facility also hosts design, photography, and art classrooms.
The Mexican Physical plant is a new chiller plant facility built on the eastern side of the campus, It also houses Maintenance Operations for the campus.
Four additional chillers were installed in the existing Texas Persimmon Physical plant.
